Anointing Consciousness through Sacred Sound, Vibration and the Word
Give me hands and mind and soul and heart,
Give me music, a bright star
And some reason to rise and walk;
Flood me with purpose and memory,
Submerge me in living water.
Egyptian Book of Coming Forth by Day,
Awakening Osiris, translated by Normandi Ellis
Gabrielle's CDs are light transmissions of higher harmonics which move the listener through thresholds of consciousness, subtly balancing and harmonizing their energy fields.

Heart zikr, food for the soul, Gabrielle Young's Sea of Splendor offers
divine sustenance the rapture, majesty, tenderness and rigor of
direct union with the Beloved. Celebratory, passionate renewal of our
cosmic contract our Yes! To the Creator and all creation, our Yes!
to love and to the opportunity to live, as Lex Hixon says, a blazing inconceivability,
to be who we really are, divine agents in a cosmic passion play. Sense
of the comprehensive nature and the radical intimacy of our journey with

I
walk on earth beneath blue heaven,
my heart telling the story of light;
I walk in harmony,
heaven in one hand, earth in the other;
I am the knot where two worlds meet.
Rejoice! Let grace roll down your cheeks like water;
you are crystal reflecting fire,
In your own becoming
there is Light enough to lead you home;
Go, then, blue-lidded daughter of Dawn, go,
and make of the world something beautiful.

Glory:
A Musical Celebration of Rumi and Hafiz
Gabrielle Young and Michael Harrison
(2000);
CD: $15.00
Gabrielle and Michael performed in September 2001 at "Future Visions
Conference" in New York. This recording blossomed from that collaboration.
This new release has five movements of Rumi's poetry and a suite of Hafiz.
Music is composed and performed by Michael Harrison on his unique harmonic
piano based on Indian "just intonation" tuning. This is the
first release of his new microtonal "Revelation" tuning. Pure,
shimmering overtone dynamics.

Michael Harrison: Michael plays his "Harmonic Piano,"
a uniquely customized acoustic grand which shimmers with exotic sounds
in his microtonal "Revelation Tuning." Working with ancient
principles of harmonic resonance, Harrison's music is an eclectic synthesis
of North Indian and Western classical music, minimalism, and modal jazz.
His expertise in overtone-based "just intonation" tuning systems
and Indian ragas, has created a revolutionary new sound for the
piano. Harrison has performed internationally alongside Philip Glass,
Terry Riley, Paul Horn, and Rumi translator Coleman Barks. He has been
the Artistic Director for seven annual "Sacred Arts Retreats"
with Pir Vilayat Inayat Khan.
